--HN envelopes in your Jan packet for your annual dues.
--Thanks to M Peth for conducting Jan meeting.
--BJ membership drive: start in March. HN gets paid to sell their memberships.
--Mothers’ Day cards this year from Covenant Co. Selling in church: Apr 24/25,
May ½ & 8/9
--Feb 20 HN convention: Chuck Spinner will be speaker. Cost $14. Chuck sells his
Book of Prayers To the Heavens From the Stars for $17. Mass at 8:30AM; then
donuts, meeting, lunch, Mr Spinner. At Assumption Parish Bdvw Hts. RSVP by
2/12/10. Families invited. Bishop Quinn is celebrant. RSVP & car pool.
--Mar 13 Retreat at St Brendan 8:30 to 3PM. Paul Hruby (777-7666). Donuts, lunch
& Mass. Free will donation. Car pool.
--Mar 21 Sunday Day of Recollection @ Assumption BP from 1 to 5PM ending with
dinner. Cost $10. Their parish is closing; let’s show support.
--Mar 15-18 SJB Parish Mission every evening.
--Board voted to place ¼ page ad in program for “No Greater Love” musical Mar
12,13,19,20.
--SWD Awards Dinner: Apr 18 @ Holy Family Hall. Board voted $30. to place an ad.
Members unanimously chose Joe Masilonis as nominee for Person of the Year.
--All sign birthday card for Fr Dave—passed around and signed.
--June 5: mark date for trip to Progressive Field. Better than my trip to
Arizona.
--Terry Morris is HN rep at Pastoral Council (meetings on 4th Tuesdays): gave
report on “New Beginnings”—Council is searching for chairperson of new Youth
Ministry to be formed prior to clustering. Birthday card signed for Fr Dave’s
75th. Organize activities for Fr Dave’s 50th ordination jubilee. Anyone
interested in trip to Rome?
--J Bowers asked if names of parish & HN sick be announced prior to rosary.
--Motion by J Bowers that, subject to the Board’s discretion, HN would pick up
any cost or free will offering for all members who attend any Diocesan HN
spiritual activity. Seconded. Discussion that more members would attend
spiritual retreats, and more persons would become HN members. Discussion whether
in future the Board might require a certain % of meeting attendance. Motion
carried unanimously.
Raffle won by Bob Pearl and Dominic Piazza. Prayer & Adjourn
