St. John Bosco Athletic Association Board Meeting

January 31, 2008

The meeting opened at 7:30 with the Lord’s Prayer. The following were in attendance: Steve Zikeli, Dave Stepanski, Tony Landino, Ginny Heffner, Joe Dubovec, Leah Armstrong.

I. Previous minutes reviewed and accepted – Joe/Tony

2. Winter Season

   1. Tony and Dave updated us on team standings.

   2. Discussed parental behavior at tournament games.

   3. Discussed making more of an effort to keep gym clean and organized.

   4. Banquet will be March 18^th. Steve has ordered plaques, etc. for banquet. We will be inviting High School teams to attend.

   5. Board gave availability to Steve to work tournament games.

   6. Uniform return will be Thursday, March 13^th from 5:30-7:00.

III. Spring Season

a. Registration will be Monday, February 4^th from 7:00-8:00 and Thursday, February 7^th from 6:00-7:00.

b. Uniform issuance will be Thursday, March 13^th from 5:30-7:00.  Late returns can be brought to banquet.

c. Coaches meeting date will be scheduled at a later date.

d. Practice times will be two one hour time slots for each team in the gym.

IV. Miscellaneous

1. Next Board meeting will be Thursday, March 13^th.

2. We will raise the fee for the field from $750 to $825.

3. Discussed having students go on morning announcement to raise interest in Cavs game. Cavs game is Thursday, April 3^rd. Will be sending another flyer with newsletter home in February. Deadline to order tickets is February 29^th.

4. Discussed having an Indians fundraiser sometime in May.

Meeting closed at 8:30 with a Hail Mary.
