St. John Bosco Athletic Association Board Meeting
                                                                             October 9, 2007

The meeting opened at 8:05 with the Lord’s Prayer. The following were in attendance: Steve Zikeli, Dave Stepanski, Tony Landino, Ginny Heffner, Bev Gombarcik, Joe Dubovec, Leah Armstrong.

I. Previous minutes reviewed and accepted – Tony/Joe
II. Treasurers report reviewed and accepted – Bev/Tony

III. Fall Season

a. Intramural program: T-shirts are ordered and they had their first game.
Dave expects intramural season to end first week of November.
b. Volleyball tournament: Was a success. SJB 5th and 6th grade girls won.
c. Concessions: Things are running smoothly.
d. 5th grade issues: Dave will be talking to all parents involved.
e. Banquet date is set for Friday, November 16th @ 6:30.
f. Uniform return date is Tuesday, November 13th from 6:00-7:30.

IV. Winter CYO Season

a. Reviewed registration policy and discussed possibly having our policy
in writing.
b. Verified number of teams and players on each team. Girls in Grades 5-8
will have one team each. Boys in Grades 5 and 6 will have one team and
boys in Grades 7 and 8 will have 2 teams each.
c. Verified coaches for each team as well as coaches meeting and
compliance.
d. Voted to have one basketball tournament in February.
e. Uniform issuance date will be Wednesday, November 14th 5:30-7:30.
f. Practice will begin on Monday, November 5th. Entry forms are due
Friday, November 9th.
g. We need to choose a new date for speaker Cindy McNight.

V. Miscellaneous

a. Dave Stepanski has been approved as Athletic Director for next year.
b. Discussed Cavs ticket sales for April 3rd.
