The meeting opened with the Prayer of Jabez.
The focus of the meeting was Advent and Christmas. The “Forgiving Tree” will be placed in the back of the church along with the “Giving Tree” during Advent. The same cards from last year, which emphasize it is the season of forgiveness and apology, will be available for folks to take.
Fran and Dolores both submitted sketches of the Little Drummer Boy, the theme for Christmas. We are going to create an ornament using the sketch of the Little Drummer Boy, along with the verse selected, for parishioners to hang on their Christmas tree.
Terry and Carolyn went to J.F. Novak Co. and spoke with Eleanor Rusnak about what it would cost to make a banner for the Evangelization Commission. They passed around the material that would be used, the emblem and a sketch of what the banner would look like, plus, the final cost to produce it. Dave will take this information to Father Dave for final approval.
We are hosting Doughnut Sunday, along with the Holy Name Society, June 1st.
Dave will call everyone when the next meeting is scheduled.
