Remodeling Fund Campaign

The Advance Giving phase of the campaign is underway and all participants have been contacted by mail. The solicitation letter for the parish-wide campaign has been prepared and should go to the printer next week. The letters should be delivered by the 3rd week in May.

Festival Planning

After considerable discussion with parishioners who read the council minutes on-line and members of the council, it was decided to eliminate the three-year lease of a car as the grand prize and replace it with a Chevrolet Cobalt sedan. Arrangements are being made to have the car on-site at various times before and during the festival. The raffle tickets can now be prepared for distribution in early June.

Six food vendors and most of the entertainment are under contract now. A call for festival workers will appear in the bulletin after current appeal for people to help with the remodeling move of school equipment.

The volleyball tournament will be held again this year but a soccer tournament is not planned.

End of School Move

The schedule for the move is

                May 20                   Library

June 12 – 15          Lower level school equipment.

The teachers are marking the items to be move and those which will be surplus. Unused equipment will be moved to the gym and a garage sale will be held.

A concern exists about returning the surplus textbooks which belong to the Parma Schools after school ends.

There is a separate call for tradesmen to volunteer for the renovations.

Technology Teacher Contract

Computer Tots has submitted several teaching and support proposals for the coming school year. Each exceeds the budget established for that service for the 06 – 07 school year. The company has been contacted and a revised proposal requested. This would provide the same level of teaching to grades 1 – 8, as in the current year. A new proposal should be available within days and will signed if it falls within the budgeted amount.

Cleaning Services Contract

Two vendors have evaluated the work site and can be expected to submit bids. Several other vendors have yet to be contacted.

St. Charles Credit Union Proposal

The discussions with St. Charles Federal Credit Union have been concluded and the transition planning has begun. Epayment has been notified that we will be terminating our contract as of the end of June 2006. A contract with the credit union is being prepared.

Account Audits

The school accounts audit will be conducted on June 1st.

Bell Tower Chocolate Fountain

Al Barbanera presented a price schedule for using it at in-house events and various proposals to increase the use of the fountain on off-site affairs. The price schedules were approved.

Next Finance Council meeting: Tuesday, June 13th, at 7:00 p.m. in the Bell Tower.
