Festival Financial Report

The interim financial report was presented and showed an estimated profit of about $70,000. There are still several sources of income to be received as well as some outstanding bills that have not been presented.

The bill for the beverages appears to be out of line with our record of sales. This will be reconciled with the

Coca Cola distributor.

The council reaffirmed its position that the grand prize of a car was the best fundraiser for the festival.

Parish Financial Report Review

The annual report to the diocese has been submitted and now we must present it to the parish. Several approaches were presented and will be discussed with Fr Dave. A date for the presentation and publication of the reports will be determined at the next meeting.

The financial reports of the other parishes in our cluster will be available at the Cluster Meeting on October 1st.

Hot Meal Implementation

The Hot Meal program began on September 10th. We were required to purchase additional shelving to store the supplies for the program. We also needed additional freezer space; we were able to negotiate an agree- ment with the diocesan program to pay 50% of the cost. Our additional cost is about $3,200.

Roof Repairs

Additional bid request packages will released next week for the roof repairs for years 2008 2011. The request will ask for an evaluation of the roofs and priority schedule of repairs and/or replacement over that period of years. The bid closing date will be November 30th.

Parish Budget 2007-2008

Using the two-year financial report comparison prepared for presentation to the parish and a budget model program developed during the school merger, we will try to develop a budget for the entire parish operation. This budget model has been used to develop school budget estimates for the past two years. Messrs. Palko and Sage will work to develop this budget.

Gift Certificate Program Expansion

The parish wide implementation will begin on the weekend of October 6 7 following the masses and as part of Donut Sunday. The initial inventory of certificates will include Giant Eagle ($25), Speedway Gas

($25), Olive Garden ($25), Burger King ($5) and Arby’s ($10). All sales will be by cash or check. If the program appears to be successful it may be expanded to a more frequent timetable.

Next Finance Council meeting: Monday, October 8th at 7:00 p.m. in the Bell Tower.
