St. John Bosco Pastoral Council

June 26, 2007

-The meeting began at 7:10 p.m. with a prayer led by Father Dave.

-A warm welcome to our new associate pastor, Father Bill Smith.

-Minutes of the May 22, 2007 meeting were approved.

School and Preschool Updates – Father Dave

-Ms. Susan Keller has been hired as our new music teacher. She will also teach part time at Assumption School in Broadview Heights.

VPL II – Father Dave

-The diocese will be assigning facilitators to all cluster groups that are consolidating. Our cluster, (which consists of St. John Bosco, St. Peter the Apostle, Assumption of Mary, and St. Bridget), will be reduced from four parishes to three, and from five priests to four. The facilitators are currently being trained and will be assigned in the near future.

-A timeline was given out at the June 13^th diocesan meeting.

-Another meeting is scheduled in July.

Family Life Ministry

No report.

PSR Updates – Richard Hahn

No report.

Doughnut Sunday Updates – Kathy Jasany

-Next Doughnut Sunday will be in October.

International Festival – Father Dave

-All parishioners and organizations are needed to help distribute festival posters to area businesses for display.

The meeting concluded at 8:00 p.m. with a prayer led by Father Bill.

The next Parish Council meeting will be July 24, 2007, at 7:00 p.m.

* Note: The July 24, 2007 meeting has been cancelled. The next pastoral council meeting will be in September.
